Last week the Olympics, this week a war? How did no one mention a war that started? Especially when Rob is serving in one of the warring countries. I guess it isn't as serious as the Romanians were making it out to be if no one mentioned it, but if anything happens, let us know.
Man and this week hasn't been that eventful. We went and did service for the city of Pitesti by picking up years of beer bottles from out of the forest here, while the paid workers tried to go and get us to do their work at the same time by taking care of the flower beds and so forth (that makes you not want to do service when people take advantage of you but the cool thing is we can say no because we don't have to be there). It was fun and I found one of my beloved street dogs skulls. I am going to take it hope to always remember my flea ridden friends.
And the other thing we tried to accomplish was the making of English fliers. Problem is that no Internet cafe has a scanner (nor software past windows 98 for that matter) and no map of Pitesti that we have found is suitable from the Internet. It has been a waste of many half hours this week. We don't even have a typography place here to make real fliers so we can't even have a cool flier. Such a bad one.
And church yesterday was a great service but only about half of the regulars came making it a depressing site. The BP was depressed afterwards asking "What can we do more?" It is just culturally acceptable to leave Sunday and not go to church or even feel bad, and that gets old real fast. So many problems left, so little time.
But as for proselyting things are going alright. We found a few new families and some other good finds this week. I hope they become something. The blocks have been nice to us as of late and we got a few new investigators.
Oh and last week we went and saw those monasteries in another city to finish our P-day and then came home to have another dramatic FHE which we ended early (a story for another time) and finished the night with street contacting. Earlier that day we had met a Mexican (that is not normal here) and found out he is part of a performing dance group. Well, we ended up street contacting into this huge festival for world cultures that happened to be preforming here. It was cool and we talked to people from all around the world and saw the same "cultural dances" preformed by different culture's around the world. What would America's cultural dance be? I was thinking line dancing, but is there anything else?
And we are out of time so see you in like 2 weeks.
Goodbye?
