Big News

Hey from Chelyabinsk,

You may already know this but “Chelyabinsk” literally means “Anastasia’s city of pampering”. We have two items in the big news department. One is we got decent baptismal dates with two of our investigators; they weren’t really progressing so we challenged them to work towards it and they decided to go for it. It’s almost 2 months away but it’s really good that they agreed to work towards them and will require them to be more active than they’ve been.
Second big news is that we finally went to Kishtim the radioactive city that the church won't allow missionaries to live in, and while the glowing tentacles were disappointingly sparse the members there were very impressive and it's all thanks to one amazing priesthood holder who does the job the missionaries can't do. Elder P. and I had to speak and I was able to relate to them about not having a good place to meet from my time in Revda as they have been searching for 5 years and this Sunday was the first day in their first official meeting place. It was inspiring to see how happy a tiny two room remodeled apartment made them.
Our zone did a great job at all the things President committed them to last week and we learned a lot about working for goals that I hope we can apply to the rest of our time here.

Love and joy,

-Elder Magleby
