Not to us but oh well

Dear the only person I wrote a letter to this week will not get the letter so Im sending it to you and my mission president, the only people I actaully have to write.

Dear President,

It’s the darndest thing, I spent most of my internet time to write my old MTC teacher and I remembered I don’t have his address! I’ve been meaning to write him my whole mission and thought it’d be a waste if I didn’t send it to SOME-body. I think it sums up pretty nicely how were doing here anyway. (Please ignore the “our mission president is crazy” part)

Дорогой Brother Stratford,

This is elder Magleby writing on behalf of the Pulsipher-Magleby companionship. That’s right, our mission President is crazy and put us back together again! It’s so much fun to be back together especially at the ends of our missions, we’re about to finish our second transfer together and just found out we got one more (leaving only our last transfer of our missions uncertain).
Just to give you a heads up on every one in our group Me and Pulsipher are here as zone leaders in Челябинск, old Elder Jensen is training a Russian in Пермь and Elder Sorensen is in a place called Уфа (The capital of Башкортостан) with a cool Ukrainian by the name of Kurbotov. Sister Borchardt has been home for a while and that’s strange, I never saw much of her in Russia though, only on visa trips (which are fairly frequent these days). The night I was picking up my new missionary at the mission home, I got to meet a returning one from Pete’s who asked if I knew you, and found out you trained him. That’s way cool, he seemed nice. He said he didn’t make it to the MTC, that’s strange; I guess they had to give him a hardcore trainer then.
Also in our mission who’s not in our group but you might know are Elders Roosel (the German) elder Able (the Texan) and elder Bassett (the AP). I haven’t seen much of Roosel, but elder Abel’s here in Chily and is fun guy and a great, sincere missionary. Absolutely no one was surprised when elder Bassett became AP a while back and he’s easily the greatest speaker in the mission and has baptized approximately 64 million people. That kid is on the ball. We all have a fun time on visa trips swapping MTC stories and reminiscing about our old favorite teachers.
We, specifically I, am so grateful for how seriously you took us back then. This is a serious work and responsibility that I understand so much more now and want to do so much more now when I’m home. We just had Elder Gibbons of the Seventy come and teach us and my testimony of member missionary work came alive, not speaking of working with members, (we all know that is the best way) but for being involved in this work of salvation for the rest of my life. This man has spent his whole life inviting his friends to his home to hear the gospel. I’m so grateful for in this special time and the perspective it gives me.
We’d love to hear from you, and we’ll see you soon either way.

Yours,

Elder Rob Magleby
